Victoria House is the character-led gastronomic destination in the heart of central London with offering traditional & Classic English fusion food with Healthy & Vegan Options. Nitin Khatri, the man behind the vision of victoria house with over 20+ years of experience within the coffee and restaurant business would like to take diners to this unique journey of flavours through an eccentric menu.

Victoria House is a coffee focused, fun loving space that flirts with pushing design boundaries. Our Baristas treat each cup like a fine chef does a meal, taking pride and time to ensure each coffee is flawless. We continuously adjust the grind to allow for changes in the atmosphere, which is just one of the many steps we take to make sure your espresso is just right.

This quirky concept fuses a vibrant and colonial cafe which will house some of the best freshly roasted and brewed coffee in London to tell a personal story, allowing guests to explore the incredible quality and fresh ingredients sourced from local markets.

Brief

Create brand guidelines & website to reflect brand name and message.

Prspctv’s was asked to develop and deliver a new website which will allow customers to find and book restaurant online, the website will need to have fresh and elegant look to surprise its customer base and increase their brand value in market. Along with fresh and elegant design and aesthetics, client also wanted to have a booking system to allow customers make prior reservation requests. Prspctv was asked to ensure that website is build in such way that their will be scope to further improvement and is search engine friendly.

Solution

Design & develop a responsive and content based website with brand guidelines.

Our primary objective was to give victoria house a classic and elegant look which the target audience can identify with. The brief was to ensure that we connect coffee, brand name and food to translate the message into its brand identity and all the collateral’s.

We evolved the brand to feel modern and relevant, but still rooted in its rich heritage. We designed and developed the website which was easy to navigate, reflected brand identity, responsive and search engine friendly.

Our first step was to understand the story of the man behind the brand i.e. Nitin Khatri. While working with Nitin on branding, we learned how her has been in hospitality industry for almost 20 years and how he worked towards his first of many cafe’s to come in London. He is extremely passionate about coffee and food and wants to bring the concept of coffee with the twist and food served using freshly sourced ingredients. Based on our conversation with Nitin, we started conducting research and worked on several concepts before finalizing the brand identity which best translated his vision.

After finalizing Identity, we created the brand guidelines which included where and how the logo should be used, composition, anatomy, colours and typography, some examples of how it can work on bill boards, business cards, leaflets etc.

We started the design phase and ensured that we are resonating the same feel from brand identity into the new website. the idea with UX/UI design was to ensure that the website is user friendly and easy to navigate while it should be accessible through all devices and browsers. based on the specification and client’s comfort with WordPress, we decided to proceed with WordPress as the CMS for the website and started to code the designs into framework.

After the designs were implemented on WordPress, we worked on implementing opentable table booking engine to the website for ease of managing bookings. Once all the development work was finished, we started the process of testing and bug fixing before launching the website. Overall the website design and development work was extremely smooth and Nitin was extremely satisfied with the results.
